-Liberian women rally Pres. Boakai

Women from all works of life from across Liberia have echoed the need for more women representation in the Boakai-Koung administration and admonished the President to be gender sensitive in his ongoing appointment process.

As an acknowledgment of how crucial their plight is, the women assembled at the Liberia Women Mass Action for Peace prayer center in Fish Market on Thursday, February 15, 2024, with a call to President Joseph Nyuma Boakai to ensure that as women stood with him during the electoral processes, their presence must be felt at an impressive extend in his government.

As they emphasized in one voice, Liberia’s  Culture Ambassador Juli Endee heightened their concern and stressed the paramount need for President Joseph Boakai to appoint more women in government.

“For President Joseph Boakai appointing women, it’s good, but we want more women in government.”

She appreciated President Joseph N. Boakai for the appointment of all the women who have been entrusted with key posts. 

“Thank you president Boakai for appointing Sarah Beysolow Nyanti, Rustonlyn Dennis, Madam Kruah, and others, still we need more.”

Ambassador Endee recommended the need for President Joseph Boakai to appoint acting Defense Minister General Geraldine George as Ministry proper.

“President Joseph Boakai should make acting Defense General Geraldine George  Minister propel”.

However, Ambassador Juli Endee said Dama Yekeson Koffa’s appointment at JFK Medical Hospital as Chief Administrator is necessary for women and all Liberians across Liberia to benefit from good care.

“Dama Yekeson Koffa is the best person for JFK Hospital, and we will benefit from good treatment”.

She rallied Liberians to ignore 

the past and keep focus on the future to manage the peace of Liberia.

“We must forget about the past and keep the focus on the future to maintain the peace of our Country”.

Ambassador Juli Endee also appreciated female Zoes around the Country for their support to women in Liberia.
