According to the Ministry of Information, Culture Affairs, and Tourism, recent threats made by aggrieved Executive Protective Services (EPS) agents and District #10 Representative Yekeh Kolubah pose a danger to the peace and stability of the state.

MICAT Boss, Jerolinmek M. Piah has made it emphatically clear that the government will not entertain threats to the peace and security of Liberia. At the Ministry’s regular press conference on Thursday, he assured the public that such threats will not be tolerated as they undermine the country’s progress and security.

The six EPS officers who demanded their reinstatement in a recent gathering at Voice of Liberia FM were warned by Minister Jerolinmek M. Piah that any attempts to disrupt the peace would face legal consequences. Similarly, Representative Kolubah’s recent utterances directed at President Joseph Nyuma Boakai have been deemed unacceptable by the government.

Minister Piah emphasized that all citizens must address their grievances through legal channels to maintain order and uphold the rule of law. He stated that the government has a duty to protect the peace and stability of Liberia and will not hesitate to enforce the law against those who seek to destabilize the nation.

The Government’s Spokesperson reaffirmed the government’s commitment to safeguarding the rights and security of all Liberians. Threats to the well-being of the nation, regardless of their source, will be met with the full force of the law in the interest of preserving peace and unity among the 5.2 million citizens of Liberia.
