As the huge gender gap in balancing the cabinet of the Weah lead government persists, president George Weah has recognized the pivotal role that the minuet percentage of women in his government are playing.
The Liberian president during the independence celebration on July 26, 2023 lauded women for the important role they play in contributing to national, and urged them to continue to push that generation to come will be moved by their legacy.
Meanwhile, as part of the president recognition of the contribution of women to national development, president Weah admitted into the humane order of African redemption, the chairperson of the national commission on disabilities, Daintowon Domah Paye-Bayee.
Paye-Bayee who was admitted into the humane order of African redemption for her selfless service to humanity, was admitted with the grade of Dame official.
“Now therefore, in recognition of your selfless service to humanity, I, Dr. George Manneh Weah, Sr. President of the Republic of Liberia and Grand Master of the Orders of Distinctions, by
virtue of the power in me vested do hereby admit you into the Humane Order of African Redemption with the grade of Dame official.” President Weah stated.

Chairperson/Executive Director of the National Commission on Disabilities, serving as one of the few women in the executive, the president added that her services and tireless efforts have become a beacon of hope, a symbol of strength, and a source of inspiration for so many young women and girls living with disabilities across Liberia.
The president continued by adding that honor which serves as motivation to persons living with disabilities, especially women and girls, in also a recognition of the advocacy work, that ambassador Paye-Bayee has raised awareness about the rights and needs of the disabled community, and fighting for their inclusion and equal opportunities
in society.
“This is in recognition of your advocacy work, you have raised awareness about the rights and needs of the disabled community, fighting for their inclusion and equal opportunities in society.
Your impact extends far beyond the disabled community. You are tirelessly working to improve the lives of the underprivileged, the marginalized, and the forgotten.” the president added
President Weah added that the NCD boss advocacy is providing access to education, healthcare, or advocating for social justice, and has dedicated herself to uplifting those in need.
He continued by also urging persons living with disabilities to serve and make the difference irrespective of their physical challenge. Asserting that true measure of a person’s character lies not in their physical abilities but in their capacity to serve, and to make a difference.
“Through your service to humanity, you have ignited a flame of hope in the darkest of times and have reminded us of all of the power that lies within each of us to create positive change.
Today, as you are being honored, we can also reflect on the lessons you have taught us; to remember that in the face of adversity, there is strength.
That our differences do not define us
but rather unite us in our shared humanity.
We remember that the true measure of a person’s character lies not in their physical abilities but in their capacity to love, to serve, and to make a difference.”
In furtherance, he went on by charging women and girls, especially those living with disabilities to have an impact on the world that will be immeasurable, and have legacy that will forever inspire generations to come.
And that will continue to shine as a guiding light for all persons with disabilities.
