Following the climax of Tuesday, October 10, 2023, polls- Liberia’s National Elections Commission (NEC) has confirmed that it has recorded and tallied 99.93 percent of the total votes cast.
At day #8 of the Commission’s regular elections update press briefing- Wednesday, October 18, 2023, results announced by the NEC Chairperson Madam Davidetta Browne Lansanah, keep the incumbent President George Weah in the lead with 803, 674 (43.84%) votes, ahead of his major contender Unity Party Standard Bearer Joseph Nyuma Boakai who has so far accumulated a total of 796313 (43.44%),
Concisely in Bomi County, at 171 of the total of 171 (100%) polling places, UP Joseph Nyuma Boakai obtains 25, 377 (55.68%) votes, while CDC George Weah accumulates 18, 239 (39.86%) votes.
In Bong County, at 555 of the total of 555 (100%) polling places, CDC George Weah obtains 77, 184 (43.91%) votes, while UP Joseph Nyuma Boakai accumulates 62, 383 (38.33%) votes.
In Grand Bassa County, at 405 of the total of 405 (100%), CDC George Weah obtains 46, 651 (44.31%) votes, while UP Joseph Nyuma Boakai accumulates 36, 214 (34.40%) votes.
In Grand Cape Mount County, at 213 of the total of 213 (100%) polling places, UP Joseph Nyuma Boakai accumulates 25, 700 (42.18%) votes, while CDC George Weah obtains 25, 454 (41.78%) votes.
In Grand Gedeh County, at 163 of the total of 163 polling places, CDC George Weah obtains 34, 751 (78.17%) votes, while UP Joseph Nyuma Boakai accumulates 4, 689 (10.55%) votes.
In Grand Kru County, at 109 of the total of 110 (99.09%) polling places, CDC George Weah obtains 24, 222 (79.55%) votes, while UP Joseph Nyuma Boakai accumulates 2, 556 (8.39%) votes.
In Margibi County, at 441 of the total of 441 (100%) polling places, UP Joseph Nyuma Boakai accumulates 63, 431 (47.08%) votes, while 56, 272 (41.76%) votes.
In Maryland County, at 175 of the total of 175 (100%) polling places , CDC George Weah obtains 35, 784 (73.01%) votes, while UP Joseph Nyuma Boakai accumulates 5, 505 (11.23%) votes.
In Montserrado County, at 2008 of the total of 2008 (100%) polling places, UP Joseph Nyuma Boakai accumulates 322, 166 (46.49%) votes, while CDC George Weah obtains 319, 366 (46.08%) votes.
In Nimba County, at 733 of the total of 736 (99.59%) polling places, UP Joseph Nyuma Boakai accumulates 127, 433 (59.53%) votes, while CDC George Weah seals 50, 269 (21.77%) votes.
In Sinoe County, at 152 of the total of 152 (100%) polling places, CDC George Weah obtains 29, 639 (78.10%) votes, while UP Joseph Nyuma Boakai accumulates 4, 468 (11.77%) votes.
In River Gee County, at 98 of the total of 98 (100%) polling places, CDC George Weah obtains 19, 247 (70.33%) votes, while UP Joseph Nyuma Boakai accumulates 4, 424 (16.17%) votes.
Meanwhile, final votes tallied from Montserrado County District #8 has shown the defeat of incumbent Representative Acarous Moses Gray of the CDC, as he obtains 9,165 votes, beneath his major rival Prince Toles who accumulates 9, 249 votes.
