The world’s largest floating book-fair will come to be part of the Bicentennial Celebration!

Logos Hope, with the world’s largest floating bookfair, is arriving in Monrovia. Many may remember the previous visit in August 2010, when around 20,000 visitors were welcomed up the gangways. Now, Logos Hope will be making another visit. This time Logos Hope has come to be a part of the Bicentennial Celebration.

Logos Hope’s onboard bookfair offers an expanded selection of over 5,000 different titles of books at affordable prices. They cover a wide range of subjects including science, sports, hobbies, cookery, arts, medicine, languages and faith. With children’s titles, academic texts, dictionaries, atlases and more, the book fair is something the whole family can enjoy.

The rest of the Visitor Experience Deck is also open for the public to explore, from the Welcome Area, which introduces the vessel through a short movie and interactive displays; to the International Café, which has ice cream, drinks and snacks for sale. There’s sure to be something for everyone.

On 19 March, the ship will celebrate its Official Opening to the public where many, including the Vice President, have been invited. Logos Hope has partnered with the Liberian Council of Churches to partake in the Bicentennial Celebration.

Logos Hope will open to the public at the Port of Monrovia from 19 March to 3 April 2022. Opening hours are as follows: Tuesday through Saturday: 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Sunday: 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM. Closed on Mondays. On board Logos Hope COVID-19 protocols will be followed.
